ART
Our art program encourages creativity through engaging projects such as watercolor painting, drawing, and more, with inspiration from peers.
MUSIC
Our music program nurtures creativity and musical skills through hands-on learning and performance opportunities in a supportive environment.
STEM
Our STEM programs ignite curiosity and problem-solving skills in youth through hands-on projects in science, technology, engineering, and math, preparing them for future success and innovation.
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
Our Healthy Lifestyles programs teaches members about good nutrition and gets Club members regularly engaged in physical activity.
POWER HOUR
Our Power Hour program is a comprehensive homework help and tutoring program that offers enhanced learning activities, encouraging youth to complete homework after school with support from Club staff.
CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP
Our leadership program empowers youth to stand up against injustice and drive positive change in their communities, schools, and peer groups.
2026
Summer Program
Swim Days: Mondays & Fridays
We will walk to the pool at 9:30 AM and return by 12:30 PM for lunch.
Cost: $5 per swim day attended
Field Trips: Wednesdays
Field trips will be lottery-based, with sign-ups released shortly after summer registration. Costs will vary by destination.
Programs & Activities:
We’re excited to collaborate this summer with Kiki from Crafty Chasis and the local library for a paleontology-themed reading program!
Each day will include:
- Morning Programs: Focus on skill retention through Money Matters, Triple Play, Positive Action, Summer Brain Gain, and Art
- Afternoon “Pick-a-Program” Choices: Music, STEM, Art, Hiking, Dance & Drama, and Where in the World
- Friday afternoons: Choice between a movie or an extra recess
Members will be grouped by grade in the mornings:
- K–2nd grade: Saturn
- 3rd–5th grade: Mercury
Afternoons allow for mixed-grade program choices.
Teen Program (New This Year!)
We’re excited to offer a dedicated teen space with programs tailored just for them.
- Open to current 6th graders entering 7th grade
- Includes structured volunteer opportunities (“Volunteens”)
- Participants will complete a volunteer form, attend training, and assist throughout the summer
- Volunteers will be rewarded with a Six Flags field trip at the end of the summer

Platte Canyon Unit Director
Jess has worked as a summer camp director at Beaver Ranch and also led a before and after care program as a director and coordinator. Additionally, she has taught music and helped students in small groups with math, reading, and writing. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education. In her free time, Jess enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, camping, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her family, often enjoying a peaceful morning coffee on her deck.

Christopher has many years of experience as an educator, teaching at various institutions across two countries. He holds degrees in psychology and psychological science from the University of Kentucky. Outside of work, Christopher enjoys hiking, playing frisbee with his dog, volunteering, and creating artwork.
