About Us

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the High Rockies is registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Our doors officially opened in 2005 in Fairplay, CO under the name of Boys & Girls Club of South Park.  Every year since saw the Club becoming more integrated with the community, school district, and public libraries and serving an evergrowing need in serving the youth within Fairplay and surrounding communities.

In 2015, Boys & Girls Club of South Park (BGCSP) celebrated its 10 year anniversary, which for non-profits within park county marked a significant milestone as 99% of non-profits within the county fail within their first 10 years.  As much as this success can be attributed to the passion, dedication, and selflessness of the staff, board, and volunteers, it is also due to the relentless ongoing support from individuals, businesses, educators, public servants, and local, state, and nationwide agencies.

Also in 2015, in an attempt to address a demand for services outside of Fairplay, we launched services in the Bailey community, conducting summer and after-school programs out of Fitzsimmons Middle School.  In less than a year, the ever-growing number of youth being served demanded that the Bailey Community have its own unit and staff to ensure we were able to provide the best possible Club experience, program offerings, and activities.

In 2016, BGCSP was restructured and evolved into Boys & Girls Clubs of the High Rockies, operating and overseeing two independent Clubs/Units; the South Park Boys & Girls Club located in Fairplay, and the Platte Canyon Boys & Girls Club in Bailey.

Given the geographical challenges and in response to the increasing requests from parents, the Platte Canyon Boys & Girls Club was invited by Platte Canyon School District to expand its services and conduct operations out of Deer Creek Elementary as well as Fitzsimmons Middle School.  With greater ease of access for kids and parents as well as availability of greater space, we are able to offer targeted, age-specific programs and activities to our youth as well as work more integrally with the kids' teachers and school administrators.

We are committed to continuing to make a difference in the lives of the kids and teens in our communities with your unwavering and much needed support!  Your generosity changes everything!  Your gifts of time, goods, services, and financial support directly impact children's lives and make you part of the community at large!  Visit our Support Us page and start or continue your legacy of impact!
